A city is people. We only ever built the streets.
— The Taofather
Word came down. The Taofather is closing the books and going somewhere the weather suits him better.
The last reckoning has settled. Every job ever called is paid and on the record. Nobody is owed a dollar, and nobody is left holding something the Family walked away from.
The board takes no more jobs. This page comes down shortly after you read it. The chain does not come down, and everything that ever happened here is written on it.
It was a good city. It just never filled up.
| Jobs called | 21 |
| Settled and paid | 13 |
| Void, nobody on the other side | 8 |
| Paid out to players | 31,990.6 $MOB |
| $MOB destroyed, all time | 150,011,197.5 |

Taofather is closed. No new jobs can be posted and nothing further will settle. Every settled job was paid in full at its reckoning, and no player is owed anything by us.
$MOB is not affected in the ways that matter. The mint authority and the freeze authority were revoked at launch and remain revoked, so no more can ever be created and no account can ever be frozen. The liquidity is locked. The 3% transfer tax still pays out to holders in TAO on every transfer. The token trades independently of this site and of us, and it will keep doing so whether we are here or not.
This site is coming down. We are not going to pretend otherwise or promise to host it forever. It will be gone within days, along with the board and the servers behind it.
What does not go anywhere is the chain. Every fee, every burn, every payout this game ever made is a Solana transaction, signed, timestamped and public, and it will outlast the site, the domain and us. The mint is BqQCf6xs9GuDwLTbRgNZRBNdqt7FPzGArYBp95Hfg29N. Anyone who wants to audit what happened here can do it on chain without asking us for anything, which was the point of building it that way.
The rules we played by, for as long as this page lasts: The Rules.
